Religious committee in Quang Binh helps sending relief aids contributed by Buddhist pagodas to flood victims in Central

In recent days, Quang Binh provincial Committee for Religious Affairs has sent relief supplies donated by several Buddhist pagodas to people severely affected in the province.
In particular, the provincial religious committee in collaboration with Tu Quang pagoda located in Gia Lai province presented 1,600 gift sets to locals in flood districts of Tuyen Hoa, Bo Trach, Quang Ninh, Ba Don town and Dong Hoi city.
The provincial religious committee also handed over relief packets contributed by Hoang Phuc pagoda located in the province’s Le Thuy district and Hanh Nghiem pagoda in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province to extremely disadvantaged families, families whose homes collapsed completely or partly due to natural disasters and several kindergartens and schools in the locality.
The total value of relief supplies is worth 300 million VND.
In addition, Buddhist and Catholic organizations in the province have also called on sponsors and domestic and foreign religious organizations to support people in flooded areas. Over 90 Buddhist establishments have sent nearly 10,000 gift sets worth nearly 6 billion VND to flood victims.
