Implementing a Government Committee for Religious Affairs’ plan in encouraging the erection of the national flag at religious worshipping places, the Committee for religious affairs in Quang Binh province has carried out a plan, including the fund-raising, for presenting 1,000 national flags to local religious establishments.
Since June 2020, the provincial committee for religious affairs has organized delegations to present national flags to local religious organizations and establishments, and in coordination with local authorities actively encouraged religious dignitaries and followers to fly the national flag at important national events.
According to Chairman of the provincial religious committee Trần Đức Thủy, 33 religious organizations and establishments (27 Catholic establishments and 6 Buddhist places) have received national flags, and local religious dignitaries and lay people have proactively responded to raise national flags at religious worshipping places during important national and Tet holidays.
