Religious committee in Lam Dong inspects implementation of religious laws in Lac Duong district

Chairman of Lam Dong provincial religious committee Ngô Văn Đức led a working delegation visiting the province’s Lac Duong district from March 19-21 for checking the implementation of state policies and laws on belief and religion in the district.
During the visit, the delegation had a working meeting with the Lac Duong district authorities and visited several worshiping places in the district for inspecting the implementation of law provisions on belief and religion in the locality.
As results of the working visit, the delegation asked the district authorities to ensure all religion-related acquires of land and construction as well as religious practices to take place in manners consistent with state laws and charters of religious organizations. The local authorities also recommended the provincial authorities to approve land use rights for seven religious sub organizations, including new allocation of land (five) and supplementation of land (two).
As reported, Lac Duong district is currently home to 18,600 religious followers of Protestantism (13,340), Catholicism (5,000), Buddhism (300) and Caodaism (less than 100), accounting to over 68% the district population, and with 22 religious worshipping places.
