Chairman of Kien Giang provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Hoàng Oanh led a delegation on August 9 to visit Buddhist summer retreat courses 2017 held in the province.
The delegation visited two retreat courses based in two pagodas of Giac Lam (for monks) and Kien Tan (for nuns) both located in the province’s Tan Hiep district.
During the visits, Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Oanh called on Buddhist monks and nuns to continue promoting national unity, practicing religious activities according to the VBS’s Charter and making practical contributions to the sustainable development and prosperity in the locality
