Religious committee in Da Nang pays visits to religious establishments on International Women Day

A delegation from the Committee for Religious Affairs in Da Nang city led by Chairman Nguyễn Cao Cường paid on March 8 visits to religious organizations and establishments in city on occasion of the 111th anniversary of International Women's Day on March 8.  

The delegation visited the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s sub-committee for Nuns Affairs in Bao Quang pagoda, (Hoa Thuan Dong ward, Hai Chau district), the Congregation of St Paul de Chartres in St. Paul monastery (No. 47 Yen Bai street, Hai Chau 1 ward, Hai Chau district) and Huu Duong Catholic monastery (No. 121 Phan Tu street, My An ward, Ngu Hanh Son district).

During the visiting receptions, while extending best wishes to female members of religious organizations in Da Nang, Chairman Nguyễn Cao Cường spoke highly of contributions made by local religious people for the socio-economic development in the city, especially in health, education activities, social, charitable activities, etc.

He also expressed hope that female followers of religions would join hands with the municipal authorities for the development of the city.
