Chairman of the Ca Mau provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Hòa Dựa has paid visits to Buddhist pagodas hosting the summer retreat course 2019 in the province.
Speaking at the visiting receptions, Chairman Ngô Hòa Dựa extended congratulations to the executive committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s chapter in Ca Mau and participating monks and nuns of the Buddhist Summer Retreat 2019 in the province, and expressed hope that they would make further contributions to social development in the locality.
Speaking with the guests, Seniour Venerable Thích Huệ Thành, Chairman of the Buddhist executive committee in Ca Mau took the chance to thank the provincial religious committee and concerning provincial authorities for their due attention and support extended to local Buddhist practices.
As reported, the Buddhist summer retreat in Ca Mau this year is taking place with the participation of 152 monks and nuns, and at two locations of Phat To Pagoda (for monks) and Kim Son Pagoda (for nuns), both in Ca Mau provincial city. It opened in May 28 and will close on August 12.
