A delegation led by Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs in An Giang province Nguyễn Phú paid on September 9 a visit to Buu Son Ky Huong Temple located in Vinh Xuong commune, on the occasion of the 75th death anniversary of the Buu Son Ky Huong Temple’s founder, Prophet Phạm Thanh Quang (the 15th day of the 8th lunar month).

During the visit, while extending greetings to members of the Buu Son Ky Huong Temple in Vinh Xuong commune, Chairman Nguyễn Phú also spoke highly of practical contributions made by followers of the Buu Son Ky Huong Temple in the locality over the past years, as well as expressed hope that the management board would continue proactively joining patriotic movements, contributing to socio-economic development of the locality.

The Buu Son Ky Huong sect in Vinh Xuong was developed by Phạm Thanh Quang, also known Thay Bay in 1941, following teachings of Master of Tay An (Western Peace) Đoàn Minh Huyên, Founder of Buu Son Ky Huong Faith. The Buu Son Ky Huong worshipping temple in the commune was built in April 1945 and has been used as a revolutionary base during two resistances against French and American forces.
The temple was recognized as the revolutionary historical site in 2001 and the Buu Son Ky Huong faith was granted the registration certificate in 2008.
