Religious committee in An Giang extends Ramadan visit to Islamic representative committee

A delegation led by Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs in An Giang province Nguyễn Phú extended on April 27 a visit to the representative committee of the Islamic community in the province, on occasion of Ramadan 2021.  

During the visit, while extending best wishes to leaders and lay members of the Islamic community in the province, Chairman Nguyễn Phú expressed hope that the Islamic representative committee would continue encouraging Muslims to proactively participate in the upcoming elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly (NA) and the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure, and strictly observe preventive measures against Covid-19 pandemic recommended by the Health sector and local authorities.

Provincial authorities extends Ramadan congratulations to Muslims dignitaries

As reported, in the context of the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic, most of religious practices during Ramadan month this year have taken place at homes of Muslims, and the Islamic community has prevented Muslim from large gatherings at mosques. Muslims in other provinces were recommended to scale down large gatherings and restrict movement between provinces for preventing the spread of the pandemic.
