Religious Committee in An Giang disseminates religious law to Hoa Hao Buddhist followers

An Giang provincial Committee for Religious Affairs held on March 16 a meeting to disseminate the Law on Belief and Religion and its guiding decree to Hoa Hao Buddhist followers in the province.

The meeting took place at An Hoa Tu located in Phu My town, Tan Phu district and was attended by over 200 deacons and followers of Hoa Hao Buddhism in the province.

During the meeting, Chairman of the provincial religious committee Lê Nguyên Châu introduced contents of the law on belief and religion and the government decree No.162/2017/ND-CP on detailing a number of articles and providing measures for the implementation of the religious law.

The dissemination aimed to raise awareness of the new law for local Hoa Hao followers and responsibilities of provincial government agencies and concerning departments in the implementation of the law, contributing to enhance efficiency in the state administration on religious affairs in the province.
