Religious committee in An Giang congratulates Hieu Nghia Ta Lon Buddhism on founding anniversary

Vice Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs in An Giang province Lê Quang Tấn paid on August 30 a visit to Long An temple of Hieu Nghia Ta Lon Buddhism located in Long Xuyen city’s My Quy ward of the province, on the occasion of the 102nd founding anniversary of the Buddhist sect (the 15th of the seventh lunar month, 1921-2023).
During the visit, while extending warm celebrations of the founding anniversary to all dignitaries and lay followers of Hieu Nghia Ta Lon Buddhism, Vice Chairman Lê Quang Tấn also extended congratulations to the Hieu Nghia Ta Lon Buddhism on its recent state recognition as a religious organization.
Hieu Nghia Ta Lon Buddhism was established in 1921 in An Giang province by Rev. Nguyễn Ngọc An, and was recognized by Decision No 632/QĐ-BNV of the Home Affairs Ministry as the religious organization on August 8, 2023, and Long An temple is the only worshipping place of the Hieu Nghia Ta Lon Buddhism in An Giang province.
