The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in Bac Ninh province in collaboration with the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and Thien Tam fund of Vin Group implemented a charitable program for disadvantaged people in the province on January 21-24, ahead of the traditional Lunar New Year 2019.
The charity program presented 1000 sets of support, each worth VND 600,000, to poor people in districts of Tien Du, Yen Phong, Que Vo, Thuan Thanh, Luong Tai and Bac Ninh city as well as orphans and victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin taken care at charitable centers of religious organizations in the province,.
Financing the program the Thien Tam fund supported VND 400 million and 1,000 gift packets and the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee contributed VND 100 million.
