Religious affairs training held in Ca Mau

Ca Mau provincial committee for religious affairs in collaboration with the home affairs office in the province’s Nam Can district held on October 16 a training conference on religious affairs.  

The training drew 60 participants who are district and commune-level cadres tasked with religious affairs in the district.

The one-day event covered topics on the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion, the current religious life in the province, key contents of Law on Belief and Religion 2016 and the government Decree No.162 on detailing a number of articles and providing measures for the implementation of the new belief and religious law.

The conference also highlighted competent authorities and administrative procedures in the field of belief and religion under district and commune level jurisdiction.

Nam Can district is home to five religions of Catholicism, Caodaism, Buddhism, Protestantism and Hoa Hao Buddhism with about 2,200 religious followers.
