Religious affairs committee in Quang Binh presents Mid-Autumn gifts to children at Catholic sponsoring center

A delegation of the provincial committee for religious affairs in Quang Binh visited on September 29 the center for orphans and children with disabilities under Huong Phuong Holy Cross Lovers located in Quang Phuong commune of the province’s Quang Trach district, on occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival.
At the visit, the delegation led by Chairman of the religious affairs committee presented many gift sets and necessities to children at the center, contributing to bring a warm and joyful festival to the disadvantaged children in the locality.
Huong Phuong Holy Cross Lovers is one of eight congregations of Holy Cross Lovers of Vinh Diocese. The center for orphans and children with disabilities under Huong Phuong Holy Cross Lovers congregation, called “Home of Hope”, is currently taking care of about 100 children who are orphans (12) and victims of Agent Orange (61), and those with other disabilities.
During the visit Chairman Trần Đức Thủy spoke highly of noble commitments and efforts made by Catholic sisters at the center for taking care of children with unfortunate circumstances, and encouraged the sisters to overcome difficulties in bringing up and educating disadvantaged children in the province.
