Religious affairs committee in Ca Mau extends congratulation to newly ordained Bhikkhunis

Chairman of Ca Mau provincial Religious Affairs Committee Ngô Hòa Dựa led on November 7 a delegation to visit and congratulate new Bhikkhunis on their recent ordainment.

The delegation was welcomed by Nun Vice Chairwoman of the Subcommittee for Nuns Affairs of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Chapter in Ca Mau province Thích Nữ Diệu Chánh and other 06 newly ordained nuns.

At the meeting, Chairman Ngô Hòa Dựa extended congratulations to the newly promoted Buddhist nuns, and also expressed hope that the newly ordained Bhikkhunis would continue making practical contributions to Buddhism and socioeconomic development in the locality.

Reportedly, the seven nuns were ordained as Bhikkhunis during the 8th national congress of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
