Religious affairs committee in Binh Duong disseminates laws on belief and religion to key Buddhists

A program disseminating laws on belief and religion to members of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in Binh Duong province and heads of 210 Buddhist worshipping places and four group practicing places in the locality was held on July 20 by the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs.
During the event held during the summer Buddhist retreat course taking place in Hoi Khanh pagoda, Vice Chairman of the provincial religious committee Phan Hoài Nam presented the belief and religious life in Vietnam, key contents of the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies, and Law on Belief and Religion and its guiding decree No.95/2023/NĐ-CP dated December 29, 2023.

At the program, Lieutenant Colonel Hồ Thọ Hải, Deputy Head of Division for Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention under Binh Duong provincial Public Security also shared with participating Buddhists about the prevention and combat of crimes using high technology.

Binh Duong currently has over 397,000 religious followers accounting for 14.38% of the province's population, with 336 religious worshipping places, belonging to eight religions of Buddhism, Catholicism, Caodaism, Protestantism, Islam, Pure-Land Buddhism, Hoa Hao Buddhism, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
