Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs in An Giang province Lê Nguyên Châu had an exchange meeting with the Management Board of the Muslim mosque located in Chau Thanh district’s Vinh Hanh commune on the Covid-19 prevention and control.
According to the management board of the mosque, Muslim adherents in the commune have proactively followed instructions of the provincial religious affairs committee, the provincial Muslim community and local authorities on the Covid-19 prevention and control, including the suspension of all large religious gatherings, wearing face marks when going to public places and filed online medical declaration as prescribed by the Health Ministry.
Muslims who had returned from religious services in Malaysia and works from Cambodia have observed quarantine regulations in the locality. Besides, the management board has cancelled all religious services regularly held in the mosque, including Friday mass, and encouraged members to pray at home instead.
