Quang Loc commune authorities in Ha Tinh province’s Can Loc district held on August 14 a meeting to honor outstanding local Catholics for the 2014-2019 period.
Quang Loc commune currently has about 3,176 Catholic households, accounting for approximately 48% of the commune population. In response to movements launched by local authorities for socio-economic development in the locality, local Catholics have made many practical contributions for improving the material and spiritual life in the commune.
During the past five years, Catholics in the commune have made contributions valued at VND 4.5 billion, including the donation of 17,000 m2 of the agricultural land, for expanding village roads and inter-village roads.
Outstanding Catholics receive certificates of merit at the meeting
On the occasion, Quang Loc authorities presented certificates of commendation to one Catholic group and eight individuals for practical contributions to the development of the locality in the past five years.
