The Quang Binh provincial Committee for Religious Affairs held on November 15 an exchange meeting with delegates of the 8th national congress of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) residing in the province.
The meeting saw the attendance of Deputy Director of Home Affairs Department in charge of religious Affairs Phan Ngọc Duy, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Tô Ngọc Hồng, Most Venerable Member of the VBS’s Executive Council cum Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Tánh Nhiếp.
During the meeting, while extending congregations to delegates of the 8th Buddhist national congress to be held in November 19-22 in Hanoi, Deputy Director Phan Ngọc Duy praised the VBS Chapter in the province for its practical contributions over the past years.
Most Venerable Thích Tánh Nhiếp took the chance to thank local authorities for creating favorable conditions extended to religious activities of the provincial VBS.
