A delegation of Quang Binh provincial Police led by Deputy Director Bùi Quang Thanh paid on August 23 a visit to the executive committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s chapter in the province on occasion of the Vu Lan Festival 2018.
During the visiting reception taking place in the VBS executive committee’s office based in Dai Giac Pagoda located in the province’s Dong Hoi city, while extending best wishes to Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in the province on occasion of the Buddhist Parents Day, Deputy Director Bùi Quang Thanh urged local Buddhists to uphold fine traditions and make further contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality.
Earlier, the provincial committee for religious affairs and relating departments and authorities also organized visits to the VBS’s executive committee and VBS’s executive boards in districts of the province for extending congratulations to local Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers on the Buddhist traditional day.
