Quang Binh authorities extends visits to local Buddhist dignitaries on occasion of Buddha’s Birthday

A delegation of provincial authorities in Quang Binh province led by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Hồ An Phong attended on May 26 a ceremony celebrating the 2565th Buddha’s Birthday held by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in the province.
During the ceremony taking place at Dai Giac pagoda located in the province’s Dong Hoi city, while extending warm celebrations of the Buddha’s Birthday to Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS’s executive committee in the province Thích Tánh Nhiếp and other monks, nuns and lay Buddhists, Vice Chairman Hồ An Phong spoke highly of practical contributions of local Buddhists for the socio-economic development, the Covid-19 prevention work, and the success of the elections of deputies to the 15th Nation Asembly and all-level People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure.

Early, from May 20-25, Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Đức Thủy visited Buddhist places in districts of Tuyen Hoa, Bo Trach, Quang Ninh and Le Thuy and Dong Hoi city for extending congratulations of Buddha’s Birthday to monks, nuns and lay Buddhists in localities.
