On occasion of the Buddhist Parents Day Festival 2017, Deputy Director of Quang Binh provincial Department of Home Affairs in charge of religious affairs Phan Ngọc Duy paid a visit on August 28 to Thanh Quang pagoda in the province.
The deputy director of home affairs was accompanied by Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Tô Ngọc Hồng.
During the visiting reception, while extending best wishes to Superior Nun Abbess of Thanh Quang Pagoda Thích nữ Chơn Hóa, and local Buddhist followers on occasion of the Buddhist festival, known as Ullambana or Vu Lan in Vietnamese, Deputy Director Phan Ngọc Duy asked the Superior Nun to continue encouraging local Buddhists to uphold fine traditions and make further contributions to socio-economic development in the locality.
