Quang Binh authorities extend Christmas visits to local Catholic parishes

Chairman of Quang Binh provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Trần Văn Tuân led a delegation to visit two Catholic parishes in the province on December 20 ahead of Christmas 2017.

The delegation visited and met with Priest Peter Nguyễn Bình Yên, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics cum Head of Trung Hai parish and Priest in charge of Tan My parish Peter Nguyễn Văn Phú.

During the visits, while extending to Christmas greetings to Catholic dignitaries and followers, Chairman Trần Văn Tuân expressed hope that local dignitaries and followers would continue actively participating in movements launched by local authorities, the socio-economic development in the locality.

On the occasion, the provincial VFF delegation presented VND 40 million to a disadvantaged family in Trung Hai parish for building their house and VND 20 million to a kindergarten in Quang Trach district’s Quang Phu commune.

On the same day, a delegation led by Deputy Head of Home Affairs Phan Ngọc Duy also visited and extended Christmas congratulations to the parishes of Minh Cam, Kim Lu (Tuyen Hoa district) and Kinh Nhuan (Quang Trach district).
