Qua Son temple festival in Nghe An recognised as national intangible cultural heritage

A ceremony was held for receiving the certificate recognizing Qua Son temple festival in Boi Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province on the national list of intangible cultural heritages was held on February 24.

The ceremony held by Do Luong district People’s Committee also kicked off Qua Son temple festival 2019.

During the ceremony, Deputy Director of Deparmtent for Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nông Quốc Thành presented the certificate recognizing the temple festival as one of intangible cultural heritages nationally to local authorities of Do Luong district and Boi Son commune.

Qua Son temple, one of four sacred temples in Nghe An, honors and worships Lý Nhật Quang’s great contributions in building and protecting the homeland of Nghe An province. The temple’s annual festival is celebrated from 18th to the 20th day of the first lunar month.
