Provincial government of Nghe An holds year-end conference on state administration on belief & religion

The provincial People’s Committee in the central province of Nghe An reviewed the state administration on belief and religion in the province in 2020, and mapped working plans for 2021, at a conference held on January 18.
The event was co-chaired by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lê Hồng Vinh and leaders of the provincial department of home affairs, and attended by the personnel working in the provincial committee for religious affairs under the home affairs department and representatives of concerning provincial authorities and the religious affairs office in the province’s districts.
As reported, Nghe An province is currently home to 388,200 followers of Catholicism, Buddhism and other religions, with 422 religious worshipping places, two religious training institutions and four social-charitable centers run by local religious organizations.
During the event, five groups and five individuals in Nghe An have been presented with certificates of recommendation by the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee for their outstanding contributions in the state administration on belief and religion in the locality in 2020.
