Present at the meeting taking place in the province’s My Tho city included Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Văn Vĩnh, Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyễn Chí Trung, and over 110 delegates.

During the meeting, while extending Tet greetings to religious dignitaries, intellectuals, artists and overseas Vietnamese in the province, Chairman Nguyễn Văn Vĩnh informed the guests results of socio-economic development in the province in 2022 and working plans in 2023. He also spoke highly of practical contributions made by religions in maintaining public security and social order, and reducing poverty in the locality.

On the occasion, the provincial People’s Committee presented certificates of commendation to six groups of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee, the Vietnam Binh Duc Caodai Church’s Management Board, the provincial Protestant Church’s Representative Committee, the Hoa Hao Buddhist’s Representative Committee, the provincial Executive Committee of Buddhist Association of Pure Land and the Committee for Solidarity of Catholics in the province for their practical contributions in the locality over the past year.
