Promoting security protection for religious practices in Tien Giang

A delegation of Tien Giang provincial committee for religious affairs led by Vice Chairman Trần Văn Khuê had on August 20 a working visit to the province’s Chau Thanh district for checking the security protection for religious practices in the locality.

During the working trip, the delegation had a meeting with home affairs office of Chau Thanh district and visited several religious worshipping places of Buddhism, Catholicism and Caodaism in the district.

Chau Thanh district is home to over 43,000 followers of Buddhism, Catholicism, Caodaism, Protestantism, the Pure-Land Buddhist Association, Minh Su Faith and Tu An Hieu Nghia Faith, accounting for about 18 percent of the total provincial population and with 100 worshipping places in the locality.

The religious committee delegation visits Tan Hiep parish in Tan Hiep district

The working visit was part of a plan issued by the provincial people’s committee for strengthening order and security for practices of religions in the province.
