Promoting religious role in environmental protection and climate change adaptation in Thai Nguyen

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Thai Nguyen province, the provincial Nature Resources and Environment Department and religious organizations in the province signed on February 28 a coordination program promoting religions’ role in the environmental protection and climate change adaptation for the 2023-2026 period.

The singing event saw the presence of Chairman of the provincial VFF Committee Phạm Thái Hanh, and representatives from the Resources and Environment Department, Home Affairs Department and religious organizations in the province.
During the signing ceremony, participating delegates also discussed measures for implementing the agreement on environmental protection and climate change adaption for the 2023-2026 period.
Accordingly, the coordination program’s target is to engage 100% of religious followers in the province in environment protection and climate change adaption by 2026, and establish at least one self-management club for environment protection in each town or commune of the locality, etc.
