Promoting religions' role for environmental protection in 2021-2026 tenure

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFF) held on May 14 a meeting to gather comments on a drafting guidelines for strengthening the coordination program on promoting religions’ involvement in environmental protection and climate change adaption in 2021-2026 period.

The event was chaired by Vice President of the VFF Ngô Sách Thực, and attended by representatives of the Ministry of Resources and Environment and members of the VFF’s Advisory Council on Religious Affairs in Ha Noi.

During the event, participating religious experts, researchers and scholars gave comments on the drafting guidelines for strengthening the coordination program on promoting religions’ involvement in environmental protection and climate change adaption in 2021-2026 period.

Addressing at the event, Vice President Ngô Sách Thực highly appreciated effective models of regions aimed to raise religious followers’ awareness on environment protection and climate change adaption.

He emphasized the early completion of the draft guidelines with specific plans and comprehensive strategies for environment protection, bringing consensus in the community and promoting roles of religions in the environment protection and climate change adaption.

Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm receives certificate of recommendation for his contributions in VFF’s affairs in 2020 by the central VFF

On the occasion, the central VFF presented a certificate of recomendation to Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm, Vice President of the central VBS’s Executive Council for his contributions in VFF affairs in 2020.
