Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Ngô Sách Thực on November 3 visited and met with Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng of Ho Chi Minh city Archdiocese, New President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam (CBCV), and Pastor Thái Phước Trường, President of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (ECVN) (South).

Meeting with Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng and Pastor Thái Phước Trường, Vice President Ngô Sách Thực highly appreciated practical contributions made by the CBCV and the ECVN (South) in the fields of education, social sponsoring, vocational training, protection environment, and climate change response.
Vice President Ngô Sách Thực also had exchanges on draft contents of a coordination program promoting religions’ involvement in environmental protection and climate change adaption.
The Vice Chairman expressed hope that the CBCV and the ECVN (South) would continue joining other religious organizations to sign the cooperation program for the 2022-2026 period at the meeting expected to be held on November.
