Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Ngô Sách Thực chaired on April 2 a meeting on the final assessment of the scientific project "The Vietnamese Bhikkhu Buddhist sect - Religious and social values in building the great national unity".
The research project headed by M.A. Nguyễn Hoàng Tuấn aims to produce a research and survey on the Bhikkhu Buddhist sect in Vietnam, as well as make recommendations for promoting religious and social values of the Bhikkhu Buddhist sect in building the great national unity.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Ngô Sách Thực noted that religious and social values of the Bhikkhu Buddhist sect studied in the project are consistent with fine traditions of the country and contribute to enhance knowledge of cadres and civils tasked with religious affairs, as well as provide theoretical and practical approaches for the VFF’s tasks to strengthen religious unity in the country.
As for the final appraisal, the assessment council gave the research project an excellent rating.
