Secretary of provincial Party’s Committee in An Giang Lê Hồng Quang speaks at the meeting

The event saw the presence of Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Lê Hồng Quang, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Thanh Bình, and 120 intellectuals and key ethnic and religious dignitaries in the locality.

During the event, while briefing on results of socio-economic development in An Giang in 2022 Chairman Nguyễn Thanh Bình highlighted practical contributions made by religious and ethnic people. As reported, religious organizations have spent over 450 billion VND on construction of 500 charity houses and 27 rural bridges and presentation of 190 ambulance cars, etc.

* In Ben Tre province, 150 dignitaries representing 14 religious organizations and two Caodai churches in the locality have participated in an exchange meeting held by local authorities.

The event taking place on occasion of the Lunar New Year 2023 was chaired by Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Lê Đức Thọ.

As reported at the gathering, religious dignitaries, deacons and lay followers in Ben Tre have contributed over 78 billion VDN to social charities in the locality.

*In Can Tho city, the municipal authorities has also held a pre-Tet meeting with religious dignitaries and deacons in the locality.
