Phuoc Thien communal house in Dong Nai set for restoration work

The Dong Nai provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has sent a notice to the provincial museum and the management board of Phuoc Thien communal house regarding the restoration of the main worshipping hall of the communal house.a

The main worshipping of Phuoc Thien communal house has the area of 233 m2 and was mainly made of wood and ceramic. After a long time existence, the main worshipping hall of the communal house has been deteriorated due to weather conditions with columns, beams, and rafters damaged by woodworm, and dampened walls and its leaked roof.

In order to restore Phuoc Thien communal house in accordance with the existing regulations, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism asked the management board of Phuoc Thien commune house to choose a construction unit with a sufficient qualification for relic restoration, and closely coordinate with relevant departments.

Phuoc Thien communal house (Ong Cop communal house), located in Trau village, Phuoc Thien commune, Nhon Trach district, was built from late 18th century and completed in early 19th century.
