Phu My provincial city authorities in Ba Ria – Vung Tau pay Tet visits to local Buddhist dignitaries

A delegation from Phu My provincial city in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province led by Secretary of the Party’s Committee Lê Hoàng Hải extended Tet visits to Buddhist dignitaries in the province on January 21, ahead of Lunar New Year (Tet) 2021.  

The delegation visited and met with Most Venerable Thích Quảng Hiển, Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee cum Abbot of Dai Tong Lam pagoda and Superior Nun Thích nữ Như Như, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee cum Abbess of Thien Hoa pagoda.

During the visits, while extending a new year of peace and success to Most Venerable Thích Quảng Hiển and Superior Nun Thích nữ Như Như, as well as local monks, nuns and lay Buddhists, Secretary Lê Hoàng Hải spoke highly of practical contributions made by local Buddhists to socio-economic development in the locality. He expressed hope that the provincial VBS would continue guiding Buddhist followers to observe state laws and proactively join social movements for socio-economic development in the locality.
