While extending congratulations to Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu and all Buddhist monks, nuns and followers on the Buddha’s Birthday Festival, Head of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai emphasised that the Party and State always appreciate the contributions by the VBS and Buddhist monks, nuns and followers who have continually promoted national unity. She also expressed hope that the VBS executive bodies at all levels would continue guiding followers of Buddhism to have a decent life both socially and spiritually and make practical contributions to national development and defence. .

Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng also took the chance to wish the Buddhist sangha all Buddhist followers happy celebrations of the Buddha Birthday and expressed hope that the Buddhist church would always remain as the common home for all Buddhists in the country and abroad.

For his part, Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu thanked the Party and State leaders for their support, affirming that the VBS will continue encouraging Buddhists to take part in patriotic emulation movements contributing to the development in the country.
