Officials of Tay Ninh provincial government visit Khmer &Ta Mun communities on Chol Chnam Thmay festival

A delegation of the southwestern Tay Ninh province on April 12 paid visits to Khmer monks and other prestigious people of Khmer and Ta Mun ethnic communities in districts of Duong Minh Chau, Hoa Thanh and Tay Ninh city on the occasion of the Chol Chnam Thmay (New Year) festival.

The delegation was led by Deputy Head of the provincial Home Affairs Department Trần Minh Nay and joint by Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious and Ethnic Affairs Võ Thành Công.

At visiting places, Deputy Head Trần Minh Nay extended his best wishes to visiting Khmer dignitaries, and all Khmer and Tamun communities in the province on occasion of their traditional New Year festival. He also expressed hope that Khmer monks and elites would continue encouraging Khmer and Tamun ethnic people to proactively participate in the upcoming elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly (NA) and the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure, and observe preventive measures and 5K recommendation for the epidemic control launched by the Health sector in the province.
