Tan Ky district authorities in Nghe An province held on September 20 a meeting to honor “Good People, Good Deeds” in Catholic communities for 2015-2020 period.
Tan Ky district currently has 1,298 Catholic households with 5,895 people residing in 12 communes and town.
For past five years, Catholics in the district have made many practical contributions to the socio-economic development in the locality.
Catholic followers have donated over 50,500 square meters of land for expanding village roads, contributed VND 2.44 billion and provided 2.115 working days for developing 5,8 kilometers of concrete roads.
The event also nominated five typical Catholics to attend the upcoming provincial level meeting on outstanding contributions by local Catholics.
On this occasion, Tan Ky district authorities presented certificates of merit to 10 individuals for their practical contributions to the socio-economic development in the locality.
