The authority in Nghi Xuan district’s Xuan Hoi commune of Ha Tinh province held on July 15 a ceremony for inauguration of a martyrs' monument and a requiem for commemorating revolutionary contributions of Vietnamese martyrs.
Present at the event included Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in Russia Phạm Xuân Sơn, Chairman of the Red Cross Association in Ha Tinh Mai Lê Thuộc, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee in Nghi Xuan district Bùi Việt Hùng, and Venerable Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in the province Thích Quảng Nguyên.
Delegates offer incenses for paying debt of gratitude to contributions of Vietnamese martyrs
The original martyrs' monument in Xuan Hoi commune was built in 1995 and has been seriously deteriorated after 25 years of existence. The reconstruction of the monument started in October 2019 on an area of 1,669 square meters. The new martyrs' monument has been completed at the construction cost of 2.4 billion VND.
The martyrs' monument inaugurated on the occasion of the 73rd Vietnam War Invalids and Martyrs Day aims to honor the sacrifices of martyrs for the national independence and unification.
