The Municipal Committee for Religious Affairs in Da Nang City held on March 19 a ceremony for representing national flags to several religious organizations in the city.
Present at the event included Chairman of the municipal religious committee Nguyễn Cao Cường, representatives of concerning municipal authorities, and dignitaries of the Spiritual Council of Vietnam Baha’i Community, Minh Su Buddhist Faith Organization and Hoa Phong Caodai Parish under the Tay Ninh Cao Dai Church in the city.
During the ceremony, officials of the Da Nang municipal authorities presented national flags to representatives of the three religious organizations in the city.
The event is part of the program issued in responding a plan of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs designed to encourage religious organizations to raise the national flag at places of religious worship.
The Da Nang municipal religious committee planned to present up to 300 national flags to all religious places in the city in March this year.
