NA Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children discusses implementation of policies & laws on religion

The National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children held a meeting on September 25 to gather comment on a report on the implementation of policies and laws on belief and religion.  

During the event, members of the NA Committee affirmed that the Law on Belief and Religion has created a favorable legal corridor for religious practices and ensured freedom to belief and religion of all people.

The delegates also proposed to strengthen the dissemination and inspection of the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion and other related laws, and resolutely and timely handle cases of abusing belief and religion for personal interests.

As reported, in order to supervise the implementation of state policies and laws on belief and religion, in 2020, the NA Committee has conducted supervision trips to cities of Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh and Dong Nai province, visited religious worshipping places in provinces of Ninh Binh and Thai Nguyen, and organized seminars to gather comments from scholars, experts, officials tasked with the state administration on belief and religion.
