The event was co-organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF), the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee and Public Security in the city, and attended by representatives from local authorities and large numbers of monks, nuns and Buddhists in the locality.

During the event, representatives from the city VFF, the VBS’s Executive Committee and Public Security in the city signed a memorandum “Buddhists in the city take part movement promoting ensuring security and urban development”.

Main contents of the agreement aim to strengthen communication and mobilization works, create favorable conditions for Buddhists to take part in the movement, implement the model “Buddhists join in ensuring security and building urban civilization” in each pagoda in the city; educate children not to violate the law and stay away social evils and strive to achieve the target where 100 % Buddhist families will be entitled to the “cultural family” title, etc.
