A coordination promoting “Peaceful Parish and Cultural Family” has been signed between the steering board on crime prevention, HIV/AIDS, social evils and all people protecting national security movement in Binh Duc ward, An Giang province’s Long Xuyen city and Can Xay Catholic parish.
Main contents of the coordination agreement state that each family of the parish would well observe the Party’s policies and guidelines; the parish would be without crime and social evils, civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals would be ensured in the parish; parishioners would proactively engage in national security protection and promote “better religious and secular life”, happy families, good relations with the community, etc.
Signing cooperation agreement
The cooperation agreement aimed to enhance roles of priests and members of the pastoral council of Can Xay parish in prevention and detection of crimes, protection of security, social order, contributing to the socio-economic development in the locality.
On the occasion, the steering board in the ward and Can Xay parish presented 40 gift packets to Catholics who are the poor, near-poor and disadvantaged people in the ward.
