The Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held on May 8 a seminar on Hung Kings monument and outdoor statue construction plan.
The seminar is part of the planning project for building monuments, outdoor statues of Founding Fathers of Hung Kings until 2035 and aimed at gathering comments on tasks, goals and criteria for planned monuments and statutes.
Most of the seminar comments emphasized the need for unified and consistent management of quantity, quality as well as cultural and historical criteria of monuments nationwide.
Historian Duong Trung Quoc also highlighted the construction of Hung Kings worshipping areas, as the UNESSCO has recognized the worship of Hung Kings as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
As reported, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize a similar seminar in Ho Chi Minh City on May 10 for gathering further comments before submitting the planning project to the Government in the Fourth quarter.
