The event was held in coordination with the Khmer Theravada Buddhist Institute and Hoa Hao – Medic Hospital, contributing to improve the spiritual and material life of Khmer people in the city.

Members of the military forces in the city and Khmer monks have built fences of the Khmer Theravada Buddhist Institute and Sanvorpothinhen pagoda, installed lighting systems on 1,500m road; presented gifts to local families of policy beneficiaries and poor households; provided free health-check and medicines to local people, disseminated the Party's and State's guidelines on ethnic and religions, etc.

Main activities of the program celebrating Chol Chnam Thmay festival 2021 take place on April 9-10 including a traditional cake making contest, cultural and sports activities, presentation of charity houses to poor households in the locality.
