Military command in Ba Ria - Vung Tau inaugurates community facilities for parishioners of Long Tan

The military command in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province held on September 30 a ceremony in Long Tan parish to inaugurate and hand over construction facilities to disadvantaged parishioners of Long Tan.  

During the event taking place in Long Tan commune of the province’s Dat Do district, the provincial military command handed over a community center for cultural and sport activities, a local pathway of three meters wide and 80m long, and two houses to local Catholics.

Speaking at the event, Priest Paul Chu Đăng Khải, Head of Long Tan parish thanked the provincial military command for presenting community facilities that would practically serve Long Tan parish and parishioners and help local Catholics to overcome difficulties.

According to Colonel Nguyễn Hoàng Tấn, Deputy Commander of the Military Command in Ba Ria – Vung Tau, the construction of community facilities was started in August 2020 with 500 million VND presented by the 7th Military Region and collaborations from provincial militarily command, local authorities and Long Tan parish, and this construction project has practically strengthened the civil-military relation, religious and non-religious unity and virtues of Uncle Ho’s solders.
