Ben Tre provincial authorirties held on April 19 a meeting with key members of religious and ethnic groups in the locality.
The event saw the presence of Standing Deputy General Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Yến, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Trúc Sơn, Chairman of the provincial Commission for Mass Mobilization Bùi Văn Bia, representatives of concerning provincial authorities, and 80 religious dignitaries and 50 ethnic representatives in the province.
During the event, Acting Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyễn Phúc Linh highlighted practical contributions made by religious and ethnic communities in social programs and movements launched in the locality in 2020.
Representatives of religious organizations and ethnic groups also commented on religious practices and ethnic life in the localities.
Speaking at the event, Standing Deputy General Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Yến expressed hope that religious and ethnic communities in the province would continue strengthening the solidarity and practically contributing to the socio-economic development in the locality, and proactively engage in the upcoming elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for 2021- 2026 tenure and other outstanding socio – political events in 2021.
The provincial authorities also handed over 480 national flags to religious and ethnic representatives at the meeting.
