Meeting with religious Party members who are all-level People's Councils’ deputies held in Thai Binh

Thai Binh provincial Steering Committee for Belief and Religious Affairs and Human Rights held on December 4 a meeting with Party members who are both religious followers and deputies of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure in the province.  

Present at the event included Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Tiến Thành, and Chairman of the provincial Commission for Mass Mobilization cum Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyễn Văn Giang.

As reported at the meeting, there currently are 209 religious followers elected as deputies for People’s Councils at all levels for the tenure 2021-2026 in which two deputies are at the provincial-level and 12 are at the district-level, the rest is at the commune-level.

In 2021, religious organizations in the province have strictly implemented measures for the Covid-19 prevention and contributed over 1.5 billion VND to the epidemic prevention work.

During the event, the provincial commission for mass mobilization presented certificates of recommendation to eight typical religious Party members in 2021.
