Meeting with religious dignitaries, prestigious people of ethnic groups held in Binh Phuoc

Binh Thuan provincial authorities held on February 28 a meeting with key religious dignitaries and ethnic monitories in the province.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front committee Nguyễn Quang Toản and attended by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Lê Văn Châu, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Trần Ngọc Trai, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Tiến Dũng and 140 religious and ethnic delegates.
During the meeting, the provincial authorities informed the socio-economic development and results of movements launched by the provincial VFF in 2017.
As reported, Binh Phuoc currently is home to eight religions of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Caodai, Hoa Hao Buddhism, Baha’i and the Pure-Land Buddhist Association, with over 235,000 followers and 303 worshipping places.
