Thai Binh provincial authorities held on May 3 a meeting on religious affairs in the province.
During the meeting, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Đặng Trọng Thăng asked concerning authorities in the province to check and ensure religious preaching and missionary activities in the locality conducted in compliance with the law.
As reported, there have been five new religious phenomena appeared in Thai Binh province with more than 1,100 followers, including over 80 members of a self-proclaimed organization called “the Almighty God Church” which has currently been covered on the media./.
