Deputy Director of Home Affairs Department in Quang Binh province Phan Ngọc Duy led a delegation at a meeting with the province’s Quang Ninh district’s authorities on October 13.
Attending the meeting included Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Tô Ngọc Hồng, Chairman of the district People’s Committee Phạm Trung Đông, and representatives of concerning offices of the district.
The meeting focused on religious practices, social activities of religions and the state administration on religious affairs in the district.
According to a district’s report, Quang Ninh district is home to over 270 Catholic households with over 800 followers, mainly living in five communes of Van Ninh, An Ninh, Tan Ninh, Duy Ninh and Ham Ninh with one parish and one sub-parish. Buddhism in the district currently has over 400 followers with five Buddhist worshipping places.
