Local authorities of Ben Tre, Lam Dong extend congratulations on VBS 40th founding anniversary

A delegation of Ben Tre provincial authorities led by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Hồ Thị Hoàng Yến visited on November 4 the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) on the occasion of the VBS’s 40th founding anniversary (November 7, 1981 – 2021).
Most Venerable Thích Nhựt Tấn, Member of the VBS’s Executive Council cum Chairman of the provincial VBS Chapter welcomed the delegation.
During the visiting reception, Deputy Secretary Hồ Thị Hoàng Yến highlighted active contributions by the provincial VBS Chapter to the socio-economic development in the locality, especially practical supports valued at over 10 billion VND to the Covid-19 fund, field hospitals and quarantine centers during the fight against the pandemic in the locality.
Ben Tre has currently over 100,000 Buddhists with 700 monks and nuns, and 260 worshipping places.
On the same day, Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong provincial Party’s Committee Trần Đình Văn visited and extended congratulation to the VBS Chapter in Lam Dong province on occasion of the VBS’s 40th founding anniversary.
The delegation was welcomed by Most Venerable Thích Thanh Tân, Chairman of the provincial VBS Chapter.
